BARPETA ROAD SARBAJANIN RAAS MANDIR & MOHATSAV.

Barpeta Road is a city and a municipal board in Barpeta district in the state of Assam, India. It is one of the most important commercial hub of Assam. The town is at a distance of 135 kilometers by road from Guwahati, the largest city in the region. The nearest airport is Gauhati Airport. The town is well connected through regular buses and trains to all the part of the country. The town is referred to be the commercial capital of Western Assam.
One of the major attractions for tourists as well as the devotees of Lord Krishna, Barpeta Road Sarbajanin Raas Mandir is one. It is situated at the heart of Barpeta Road town. Established in the year 1929, this temple is built by some renowned persons of the town like Ramlal Bakshi, Bhupen Bhattacharya, Binod Bihari Raha Roy, Pokhanmal Agarwalla, Jatindra Narayan Biswas, Mahesh Ch. Pathak, Hargobinda Das etc. Now the temple is re-constructing with a very beautifully designed with the helping hands of devotees.
Raas is a divine event of love and spiritual feelings of Lord Krishna and Radha. Raas Mahotsav is celebrated every year here. Barpeta Road Sarbajanin Raas Mahotsav has completed its 89th years of Celebration. It is observed every year in the month of Kaati and Purnima tithi as per traditional calendar.
